Think of The Haven as the place for you to land when life feels heavy.

I’m here to show you how therapy can help you manage everyday stress, improve your interpersonal relationships, and show up more confidently & authentically in all areas of your life.

You can be a
high-functioning person and still need support.

There’s so much more to therapy than what it often gets made out to be. You don’t have to be in crisis, falling apart, or careening toward rock bottom before it makes sense to reach out. There are other moments when it feels right to seek therapy: when work feels draining, when grief from a loss is lingering a little longer than you expected, or when everyday anxieties start affecting how you move through the world.

For children and teens, those moments might look like difficulty managing big emotions, low self-esteem, or challenges connected to ADD or ADHD, like focus, organization, or learning differences.

Therapy isn’t reserved for the lowest moments in your life or your child’s life. In fact, when you reach out before things feel so extreme, it becomes easier to navigate those difficult seasons.

What therapy really offers isn’t just a place to “fix” the hard things. For both children and adults, therapy is the place where you can feel understood, emotionally supported, and equipped with tools to help you thrive in the way you were uniquely created.

Consider it your safe haven in the storm, where you can slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and stop carrying everything on your own.

DOES YOUR CHILD OR TEEN NEED SUPPORT?

Sometimes kids need a place to talk, too.

While my practice primarily serves adults, I also offer limited availability for children and teens on a case-by-case basis.

As children and teens move through the different stages of childhood, they experience stress, anxiety, social pressure, grief, and struggles with self-esteem just like adults do. But kids don’t always have the words to explain what’s weighing on them.

Sometimes, those struggles show up as emotional outbursts, shutting down, behavioral changes, perfectionism, or difficulty at school. And as a parent, it can be hard to know whether you’re witnessing normal growing pains or signs that your child needs extra support. Believe me when I say I understand that worry firsthand—as a mother of five, there’s nothing more important to me than my children.

And that’s why seeking therapy for your child can be one of the most loving things you do when they’re struggling. Therapy offers a supportive, age-appropriate space where they don’t have to feel the heaviness alone or keep their feelings bottled up inside. It helps them feel understood, make sense of what they’re experiencing, and build healthy coping mechanisms they can carry with them into adulthood

Support that fits your schedule and your life

Whether you’re most comfortable meeting from home or sitting together in person, therapy should always feel accessible, supportive, and aligned with what feels best for you.

In-Person

My in-person office is located at 507 Main Street South, Suite 3, Sauk Centre, MN 56378. Rather than a traditional clinical office, I've created a warm, welcoming space where you can feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. I believe the environment we heal in matters, and I want The Haven to feel like a place where you can exhale, feel at ease, and focus on what matters most—you.

Telehealth

Virtual sessions allow us to work together from anywhere in Minnesota. As long as you have a quiet, private place to talk, a reliable internet connection, and audio & video capabilities, you can receive the same compassionate care from the comfort of… well, wherever you choose.

SESSION RATES

Simple, Transparent Pricing for Therapy Services in Minnesota

I operate as a private-pay practice, which means sessions are paid for directly at the time of service rather than billed through insurance. Payments can be made securely through the client portal using credit, debit, HSA, or FSA cards.

For clients who would like to use out-of-network insurance benefits, I can provide a superbill upon request. A superbill is an itemized receipt that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. Because out-of-network coverage varies by plan, I encourage you to contact your insurance carrier before beginning therapy to determine whether your plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits and to better understand your potential reimbursement.

Many clients appreciate private-pay therapy because it offers greater flexibility, privacy, and control over their care. Insurance companies often require a mental health diagnosis and may place limitations on session frequency, length, or treatment approvals. Private pay allows therapy to be guided by your needs and goals—not insurance requirements—and gives you the freedom to choose a therapist and treatment approach that feels like the right fit for you.

How It All Works:

  1. REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT

You can request an appointment by texting or calling me at 320-228-4007. Rest assured that all texts and calls go through Spruce, the secure, HIPAA-compliant phone system that we’ll use to communicate throughout our time together, so your privacy is always protected. I’ll get back to you within 2-3 business days to answer any questions you may have and to determine whether I’m the right fit for your needs.

If everything feels aligned for both of us, we’ll move forward with scheduling your intake session.

  2. COMPLETE YOUR ONBOARDING

I have a handful of onboarding items for you to complete before your first session, including your intake paperwork (which I’ll send electronically) and steps to set up your payment preferences. The client portal, where you’ll receive your intake paperwork, is HIPAA-compliant and completely secure.

  3. ATTEND YOUR FIRST SESSION

During your 75-minute intake session, we'll spend time getting to know each other and talking about your background, what brings you to therapy, and what you're hoping to work toward. By completing your intake paperwork and consent forms before your appointment, we're able to spend less time on paperwork and begin at your pace—focusing on your story, your goals, and the support you're looking for from therapy.

You'll have the opportunity to ask any questions you have about therapy, how it works, and get a feel for my approach. By the end of our time together, we'll begin developing a personalized treatment plan and schedule your next few sessions based on your goals and needs.
